BC Housing’s COVID-19 Response: Property Purchases

BC Housing purchased nine properties in Vancouver and Victoria in 2020 and 2021 to provide temporary housing to people experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. The properties represented a significant public investment – totaling $221 million – that had to be secured quickly during the emergency.
